Jehovah’s Witnesses are taught that their organization, The Watchtower Bible and Tract
Society, is the only place to receive genuine spiritual truth. This belief affects all aspects of life in the group. Witnesses are warned not to have “independent” thoughts about God, and
spiritual literature not published by them is often considered Satanic. If the Watchtower Society is the source of all divine truth today, everyone ought to believe it and follow it—but there are numerous reasons to question its claims.
